Data, Evidence and Learning Officer
Location: UK based with the option for remote working. This role will require occasional travel to HQ in London to fulfil operational requirements.
Occasional overseas travel to support programme implementation and/or oversee activities is required for the position.

| Role Overview with key responsibilities |
This new role presents an exciting opportunity to join WFD’s newly established Digital and Insights Unit at the start of the organisation’s 2026-29 strategic period.
The Data, Evidence and Learning Officer will play a crucial role within the Digital and Insights Unit, providing support in the following key areas.
- Evidence generation, coordination, and reporting: Undertaking data analysis and evaluation of WFD’s programme portfolio, contributing to improved lesson learning and sharing of evidence-driven good practice.
- Data systems and improvements: Participating in the development of guidance and good practice for system users. Also providing capacity to coordinate systems improvements and contribute to additional data analysis and improvement capacity within the Digital and Insights Unit.
- Addressing limitations in knowledge management capacity: Highly active in identifying systems improvement cases and identifying systematic ways to strengthen knowledge management practices and processes.
- Learning and Development: Contributing to the coordination of organisational learning initiatives and events and in time enable reallocation of management level focus to other priority projects.
The Data, Evidence and Learning Officer will work under the direction of the Evidence & Learning Manager, closely with MEL colleagues and other teams and departments across the organisation.
| About You – We are looking for the following |
Essential
Experience in coordinating organisational projects, especially digitally related.
Experience in research or monitoring, evaluation, and learning, preferably in an international development or democracy support context.
High level English language, written and verbal skills.
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently.
Demonstratable skills in analytical and critical thinking.
Awareness of agile project management principles.
